Dug holiday blog:
9 hour journey in rain with 3 kids in convertible car, not good start!
Check into posh hotel for 3 nights + quickly realise it is eco retreat, full of rich hippies who like to use recycled toilet paper!
Cloudy 3 days!
Next, travel south on “red” day and spend 8 hours in car on only day of sun 30c, not allowed to open roof!
Next, south we must be safe surely? 2 hours sun in 6 days! Divorce is looming!
Next, we give up after bad weather, average food + too much French attitude! We surrendered and headed north early!
10 hours later and 4 hours from little island we experience the “sun”…
We found somewhere to stop and I have just consumed enough wine to get a small African nation dancing!
Life ok again until I am woken by the 3 children!
I am happy and safe in my little bubble!
